In it's first meet of the season, The Malta Swim team placed fifth at the Sidney Swim Meet. The team was only four strong at the meet. Malta was led by 14-year-old swimmer Shay Garfield who won the Women 13-14 100 meter breaststroke, with a time 1:37.24. She also placed second in the 100 meter backstroke, with a time of 1:28.33.
