    The Malta Municipal Pool's 2020 summer came to an abrupt end on Friday, August 7, thanks to an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in Phillips County. The pool hosted 120 kids throughout the year for swim lessons and many more for Open Swim.     The Malta Swim Team participated in their 2020 Divisional Meet named the COVID Classic on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26.     Though they didn't get to race under the lights at the Phillips County Fair, the Dodson AMX Speedway brought plenty of thrills and a few spills last Saturday Night at the 105th Annual Phillips County Fair.     Despite having to add social distancing measures because of COVID-19, Phillips County 4-H held successful Beef and Swine shows during the 2020 Phillips County Fair. The events were judged by 4-H Livestock Judge Collin Gibbs of Miles City, who has become a familiar face in the past few years at the PC Fair. Gibbs has been judging fairs for over 17 years.     After being runner-up in the past two Demolition Derby events held at the fairgrounds, Glasgow's Chris Moore won the 2020 Phillips County Fair Crash for Cash for the first time.     The last two meets for the Malta Swim Team took place - both divisional and state - which saw delays in Sydney, Mont., due to lightning strikes on the first day.
