The Cal Wearley Memorial that was set for Wednesday, March 31, was postponed. Fergus won the meet with a total of 69.5 points.     The Malta Mustangs joined 26 other teams for their first track and field event since 2019, last Thursday, April 1, in Glasgow. The Glasgow Invitational featured close to 600 athletes. Malta placed sixth amongst all teams at the event and was the third ranked Class B team in terms of scoring. The event was won by the Class C Hinsdale Raiders who scored 76 points.     The Malta M-ettes Track Team competed in the first track meet held in Eastern Montana since 2019, last Thursday, April 1, at the Glasgow Invitational.     Two of Malta’s high school basketball players were selected to the class B teams for the Hi-Line Invitational Tournament (H.I.T.), April 2 and 3, at the Havre High School. This was the thirty-fourth time that the tournament, originally founded by Babsie Bishop, has been held, and has featured some of the finest high school players in the state.     The Malta Mustangs Track team returned to practice for the first time in a year, optimistic that they will compete for the first time since 2019. In 2019, the Mustangs had over 20 athletes and earned second place at the Northern B Divisional. Instead of seeing if they could repeat their success, the track season was grounded due to the threat of COVID-19.
