    Grades one through five spent the afternoon of Thursday, May 27, burning off some of the energy they had stored up over the winter.     The Malta M-ettes Track team had three athletes place in individual events in the 2021 State B Track and Field Meet in Laurel last weekend.     The Malta Mustangs Track Team was represented by five competitors at the 2021 State Track Meet in Laurel last weekend. Malta was led by junior Cash Salsbery, who was the lone Mustang to earn points, by taking third in the shot put competition. He hit a mark of 49-0.25 in the first throw of preliminaries, a new best.     On to state! The Malta M-ettes have reclaimed the Northern B Track and Field Divisional title last Saturday in Glasgow, outscoring 11 other teams present at the meet.     Phillips County Motorsports held its track clean-up and test and tune on Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16. The track clean-up was held on Saturday, May 15. The grass was mowed, all areas cleaned up and the track was prepped for the season of racing.
