Action at the Hi-Line Drag Strip filled the town over the Labor Day weekend. Drag strip enthusiasts, from across the state, North Dakota, and Canada, spent three days in the warm weather, racing to their heart’s content. The Whitewater Penguins attended the Havre Invitational on Saturday. I was very optimistic going into this meet. The weather was going to be absolutely gorgeous and the girls had a solid week of practice. The 2022 Marian Hills Ladies Golf League started out this year on Wednesday, May 5, with eight teams. Teams competing this year were sponsored by the Tin Cup, Bank of Malta, Shane Anderson Insurance, Valley Drug, Phillips County Hospital, Independence Bank, First State Bank and Art’s Furniture and Carpet.
