Williston State Head women's basketball coach, Bill Triplett, has announced the signing of Allison Kunze from Malta, Montana. The 5'10 forward has helped lead Malta High School to three consecutive trips to the Montana State Class B basketball tournament with hopes of doing the same this year. The Malta Junior High Wrestling Team traveled to Lewistown on Tuesday, November 15. Seventeen wrestlers competed in the tournament. Most wrestlers had four people in their bracket, but there were a few with three and a couple of weights only had two wrestlers. The majority of the brackets were a total of five wrestlers where you wrestle everyone in the bracket. The Malta Mustangs led wire-to-wire in their playoff win over Red Lodge. On their 100th year of football, The Malta Mustangs Football team ended the regular season as the 2022 Northern B Division Conference Champions, a title that they also won in 2021. The Whitewater Penguins and Dodson Coyotes Cross Country teams competed at the 2022 State C Cross Country Meet in Missoula. Shelby LaBrie led the Penguins with a third place finish.
