We made a last-minute decision to head to the Scottie Invitational instead of the meet in Missoula. They have been canceling a lot of sporting events with the recent wildfires that have been surrounding the area and the poor air quality. The Malta Cross Country runners competed at the Havre Cross Country Meet on Saturday, September 10. The overall winner of the girl's varsity 3 mile race at the Prairie Farms Golf Course in Havre was Tanae Baker of Glasgow who ran the race in 19:30. Action at the Hi-Line Drag Strip filled the town over the Labor Day weekend. Drag strip enthusiasts, from across the state, North Dakota, and Canada, spent three days in the warm weather, racing to their heart’s content. The 2022 Marian Hills Ladies Golf League started out this year on Wednesday, May 5, with eight teams. Teams competing this year were sponsored by the Tin Cup, Bank of Malta, Shane Anderson Insurance, Valley Drug, Phillips County Hospital, Independence Bank, First State Bank and Art’s Furniture and Carpet.
