Malta Public Schools has hired Jake Norby as their new Activities Director for Malta High School and Malta Middle School. "It really is like a dream job to me," Norby told the PCN. At the halfway point of the 108th Phillips County Fair Indian Relay and Chariot Races last Saturday, the crowd was treated to a Ranch Bronc event. At the end of the event, a local rider, Dodson's Alex Werk was the winner with a total score of 135 points. Werk scored 64 in the first round of the event and 71 in the top five round (finals). The Malta Cheer Teams went to a two-and-a-half day camp at Lockwood High School held by Kansas State University July 17-19.
