On Saturday the 26th, Malta Wrestlers Wyatt Dunbar and Oren Mackey were invited to wrestle for the Havre Wrestling Club at the Brodie Gordor Memorial Easter Weekend Duals in Sidney Montana. Wyatt wrestled in the heavyweight class and Oren wrestled from 120 pounds to 140 pounds. Both boys went undefeated, Wyatt 3-0 and Oren 5-0. Malta M-ette sisters, senior Hailey, and junior Jada Nicholson are twin-like on the basketball court. Both are extremely graceful, possess a terrific jump shot, display a great wingspan, can track long passes and finish strong to the hoop. Last July, Malta High School seniors John Waters and Palmer Giblette both medaled in table tennis at the 2015 Big Sky Games in Billings. This year the duo put together Malta's first table tennis tournament, the Malta Table Tennis Open which was hosted at the "Old Gym," last Saturday. Ten Malta kids participated in the Knights of Columbus free throw competition in Havre on Sunday, February 21. All ten of the kids won their respective age division and their scores will be compared with other kids around the state for determining the state champions. All of the kids did a great job. New Orleans – The Northern State University cross country teams were honored Friday receiving USTCCCA Team Academic Awards.
