The North Country Mavericks basketball team lost their two first games of the season as they fell to the Jordan Mustangs on Friday, December 1, and the Melstone Broncs on Saturday, December 2. The season has kicked off for the Malta Wrestling Team, who competed in the Havre Mixer on Friday, December 1, and the Havre Invitational on Saturday, December 2. The team was able to compete with 10 of their 20 wrestlers, the other ten of which haven't met practice requirements or are injured. The Malta Mustangs football team was 5-5 in their 2023 campaign. The team finished second in the Northern B Conference and ultimately fell 40-22 to Three Forks in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday, October 28.
