While this doesn’t guarantee them any postseason titles, it most certainly is a great start to the 2016 season. “We’re in good shape,” Coach Tad Schye said. “We have depth in events and we have most events co...

Returning for M-ettes is Sophia Stiles, who is a reigning two time triple jump champion and also reigning long jump champ as well. Senior Kaitlyn Smith took fifth in javelin with a throw of 127-03. The Dodson Coyotes will have a young but competitive team this season even after losing Trevor Banyai to graduation last season. Banyai was strong part of Dodson's three-man team last season doing well in the jumping events. Coach Tianna Bloomer was an assistant coach last season but she will be leading Dodson this year as Head Coach. Coach Ryan Lefdahl, who was a state discus and shot put athlete, will assist Coach Bloomer this season. This season the team has grown, though only three of six...

They also lost a key athlete in Tatum Moore, who is recovering from a knee injury. "We lost a big chunk of our runners," Head Coach Charlene Wasson said. "We don't have a lot of runners this year but we do have a lot of throwers." This year the Penguins track team has a young, new look, with most of their athletes being...
The Malta golf team has five returning golfers this season, all of which were quality golfers in 2015, but those five golfers will be joined by a total of 11 brand new golfers. Keenan VanWichen had a solid junior season as the team's number one golfer. "Last year he was number one," Coach Lynn Nevrivy told the PCN. "He's just going to stay in that position but Hunter and Landon are hot on his trail." So how close are Hunter Love and Landon VanWichen to Keenan? Apparently one to two strokes...

They morph into one person. They're almost like twins." With the skills...
One could argue that a few of our Mustangs basketball players should've been invited to represent Class B in the Hi-Line Invitational Tournament in Havre last weekend. But it didn't happen. No phones rang or received texts. But if you were to attend last week's event you could still spot one of Malta's fiercest competitors. Nate Costin? "I didn't get invited to Class B and someone in Class A didn't come, so they called me and told me that I can play with them," Costin said noting they called...
