    Phillips County Motorsports is set to kick off their ninth season this Friday, June 3 at the Hi-Line Drag Strip located just south of Malta's city limits. This weekend's three-day event will kick off a four event series that will feature over a hundred dragsters.     The golf season has come to an end for local Phillips County schools. Saco, Whitewater and Malta schools were all represented on the state levels of their respective classes. The highest placer was Cyra Mears of Saco, who tied for thirteenth in the Girls C Meet in Hamilton on May 18. Mears had a score of 217 after two days.     Though it was rainy throughout, a thunderstorm did not stop the Malta M-ettes from winning the North/East B Divisional at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls last Saturday.     The Malta Mustangs track team took seventh at the rainy North/East B Divisional at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls last Saturday.     There will be an opportunity for the youth of Malta and Phillips County to learn the game of golf this summer as a result of a grant from the Montana Golf Association. Malta High School golf coaches, Lynne and Jim Nevrivy wrote a grant for $1,000 to be used to purchase youth and teen golf clubs. The grant was selected to receive the full amount requested.     Last Sunday morning Billings held its annual RUN for Heaven's Sake 5k, 10k and half marathon races. But the Magic City wasn't the only town that held a race.
