    For the first time in a long time, Malta hosted an exhibition event at the Old Gym. The first half of the event was scored as a dual as the Mustangs took on a team consisting of Fairfield and Simms wrestlers. Malta won the event 36-18.     The Malta Mustangs and Malta M-ettes saw their first action of the season last weekend at the Shelby Invitational. Malta defeated Cut Bank 53-40 on Saturday, December 9, thanks to a quick start in which they outscored the Wolves 12-4 in the first quarter. Landon VanWichen had a game high 13 points.     The Malta Wrestling Team was able to secure the Northern B Divisional Title last season, while also qualifying ninth for the 2017 State B-C Wrestling Tournament in Billings last year.
