The M-ette Cross Country team boarded an early morning bus Saturday, and traveled to eastern Montana to participate in the first meet of the season. The meet would take place near the Medicine Bear Complex facility in Poplar. Despite a looming haze on the horizon caused by the wild fires burning all over the state, the light cloud cover and cool temperatures provided ideal conditions for running a 3 mile race. The Malta Mustangs will have a new look with a new coaching staff and a different conference this season. The 2B conference is no more. With the 2017-18 Montana Football Realignment in effect, conference designations are simply, North, South, East and West. The Malta Swim Team participated in the Montana Federation of Swimmers State Meet on Saturday, August 5 through Sunday, August 6 at the new pool in Lewistown.
