    The Malta M-ettes fell to a pair of 2B foes this past weekend, losing to the Harlem Wildcats and Poplar Indians, leaving Malta 1-5 in the conference. The Malta High School gymnasium featured it's loudest and largest crowd of the season and many Lady Wildcat fans poured into the school's bleachers on Friday, January 19, to see if the Lady Cats would sweep the season series.     The Malta-Whitewater Wrestling Team continued their strong efforts on the mat, taking second place in the Harlem Wildcat Invitational last Saturday, January 20. The Malta-Whitewater wrestlers will be hosting a pair of events this weekend at Malta High School. The team took second place at the Harlem Invitational, scoring 133 points.     The Lady Mavericks picked up a pair of wins last weekend as they downed Brockton 59-15 in Whitewater on Friday, January 19 and Class B’s Glasgow Lady Scotties 45-31 on Friday, January 20.     The Dodson Coyotes and Lady Coyotes were given a tall task last Friday, January 19, as both squads faced off against the Scobey Spartans and Lady Spartans respectively in the Coyote Den at Dodson Public Schools.     The Malta/Whitewater Mustangs Wrestling team hit a major milestone in the 2018 season, winning the Choteau Classic, a two-day event that started on Friday, January 12 and ended on Saturday, January 13. Thirty-one Class B and C teams converged in the Choteau High School for an event many measure up to the annual State B/C Wrestling Tournament held in Billings.
