    The Old Gym was the site of the 2018 Malta Middle School Wrestling Mixer, an event that featured close to 75 middle school wrestlers and close to 200 spectators at last Friday, March 16. The event consisted of six teams; Malta, Chinook, Harlem, Havre, Lewistown, and Hays-Lodgepole.     Fourteen Phillips County are Athletes have taken their place on the annual All-Conference list for their efforts in the 2017-18 basketball season. Malta senior Taylor Matthews of the District 2B and North Country senior Trace Simonson of the 3C District each earned All-State honors.     The Malta Wrestling Club participated in the 2018 Montana State AAU Folkstyle Tournament held Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 11 in Great Falls. The event included wrestlers of all ages. Malta had one champion, Midget 112-pound class Kenan LaBrie of Whitewater, who won his championship by way of 11-8 decision over James Mills of the Stars N Stripes Wrestling Club.
