    The Malta M-ettes have a total of sixteen athletes listed for the 2019 track season, which means the group could make a run in this year's postseason meets. The team welcomes Jim Benn as their head coach this season. Benn had previous experience coaching the Ronan track team prior to joining Malta in 2017.     The Malta Golf team has 17 members in 2019, which is only one less than last year's group, but the team has retained plenty of youth both new and returning. "We have good numbers out for golf this year," Malta Head Coach Travis Somerfeld said. "We have a total of 17 golfers 11 boys and six girls. Of those 17 golfers, eight of them played last year."     The Saco Panthers track team may not have the numbers that they had last season, but the group has brought back a few athletes that should compete late into the postseason. Gone are graduated seniors Chandler Pippin, Bailey Funk, Sydney Zeller, Challise Young, and Chris Depuydt.     A pair of Malta Mustangs were named to the 2018-19 All-Conference list earlier this month. The list includes junior Tanner Smith and senior Kevin Henry.     The Phillips County Health-Care Foundation auctioned teams for the 10th Annual Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament Calcutta on Tuesday, March 19. Over a dozen bidders bid a total of $23,475 on the 64 basketball teams in this year's NCAA Men's Basketball tournament bracket.     Two M-ettes were named to the 2018-19 District 2B Basketball Honors team including junior Kelbee Denham who made the All-State team and earned a spot on the first team.
