The Malta M-ettes fared well at the Chinook Invitiaitonal Tournament last Friday, September 6 through Saturday, September 7, despite going going 3-8 at the event. With the departure of former Mustangs Head Coach Jim Benn, the 2019 Malta Mustangs Football team welcomes back a familiar face in newly rehired Head Coach Nick Oxarart, who was hired a little over a month ago. Though Oxarart has been with the Mustangs as an assistant coach in 2018, he has coached the Mustangs to the playoffs in 2016 and 2015 as a head coach before stepping down in 2017. The 2019 Track & Field season marks the end of the Dodson-Whitewater Harriers Co-operative. The Dodson Coyotes will feature four runners this season and one returning runner. Another successful season for the Malta Swim Team came to a conclusion the first week of August in Sidney, Mont., as the swimmers competed in the State Swim Meet. There was plenty of excitement at the 104th P.C. Fair's North East Corner Indian Horse Relay on a pretty warm Sunday, August 4, in Dodson. The event featured Indian Relay Horse style racing, Memorial Races, Chariot Races and even a kids' race.
