    The North Country Lady Mavericks split last weekend's series as they traveled to Brockton last Friday and defeated the Warriors 66-8 and then lost to Glasgow 50-28 last Saturday in Saco. As the Mavs prepare to enter winter break, the team will face the Nashua Lady Porcupines in Whitewater tomorrow night.     The Dodson Coyotes nearly picked up their first win of the season last Tuesday, but ultimately the team lost 68-65 to the Turner Tornadoes. The team was scheduled to play Scobey but the game was moved to Monday night. They were also scheduled to play Nashua in Nashua on Tuesday, December 20.     If there was any pressure to keep their streak going, it ended last Saturday night as the (2-1) Malta M-ettes fell 63-49 to the Poplar Indians in Poplar. The Indians were able to outscore Malta 25-11 in the fourth quarter.     The Malta Mustangs are off to a solid start this season as the team defeated the Poplar Indians 77-50 last Saturday night in Poplar.     The North County Mavericks (2-2), split games this past weekend as they traveled south to the Lewistown Invitational to face the Denton-Geyser-Stanford (DGS) Bearcats on Friday night and the Geraldine-Highwood Rivals on Saturday.     The Malta-Whitewater Wrestling Team have been off to a strong start in their 2016-17 campaign and that continued last Saturday as the team was able to take fifth place at the 21st Annual Scottie Invitational in Glasgow with a total of 85 points. Since her graduation, Henry has been involved in college basketball and track and field.
