Last Saturday, June 20, the Malta Barrel Racing Summer Series held their third weekend. The races were held at the Trafton Rodeo Arena. Malta Parks and Recreation hosted it's second annual Malta Soccer Camp instructed by local MHS senior Kendrik Wright. Over the last few weeks, the Trafton Park Rodeo Arena has seen plenty of action over the month of June, and the arena is set to host the 2020 Malta NRA Rodeo, an event that welcomes rodeoers within a 200-mile radius. The NRA stands for National Rodeo Association, which holds rodeos throughout Montana. The NRA welcomes riders from Montana and part of Wyoming. Though he is 13-years-old and not old enough to compete with adults in the Malta Parks and Recreation Corn Hole Season, Kohner "Chaka" Schipman is an avid player of the backyard game. The Malta Department of Parks and Recreation introduced an organized backyard game to 20 participants last Friday night at the Malta City Hall.
