This was where the boots, hats, and butts hit the ground...it was another rodeo put on by local rancher, Jerey McEwen, and a host of hands that made it seem to go like clockwork.     The State-Wide 8K Shooting Challenge, hosted by 127 Sports Intensity and the Fairfield Basketball Club, is almost done. It started on May 1st and will end on August 23rd.     The Malta Swim Team headed down to Roundup on June 29 and June 30 for the last meet before the July 4th holiday. The Malta Six are continuing to place high, get some good competition and gain more experience. Silas Young once again had the team-leading high with 38 points.     The Malta Swim Team has been busy this summer, and despite not having a pool to practice in until Wednesday June 19, the team of six swimmers have been making waves. The team competed in their second meet of the year, the Harlem Swim Meet on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22.     Last week, a new event for drag racers in the State of Montana named the Big Sky Race Week took place. And one of the stops for this race was the Hi-Line Drag Strip on Tuesday, June 18. 119 cars were registered to reach Malta and the trip was a total of 950 miles.     The Malta High School volleyball team held their annual M-ette Volleyball Camp last week at the MHS Gymnasium.
