On the 8th of April 2014 the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office and Agents from the Tri-Agency Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on the residence of Malanie Miller at 542 S 6th st W. as part of an ongoing investigation. Seized in the search was marijuana in excess of 60 grams, drug paraphernalia, and cash suspected of being transferred as part of illegal activities. It has been nearly 18 months since the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office installed the Emergency Notification System (ENS) and thankfully it has only been used a few times. Last summer the ENS was used to inform Phillips County residents of the flooding in the area, according to Sheriff Scott Moran.
