    The Phillips County Extension office has a new face at the helm. The face is not new, however, to the Malta community. Newly hired Phillips County Extension Agent Christina Murphy tossed her name in the pool when Marko Manoukian retired and the State opened the position.   • Local Churches Host VBS for 70 Youth

    Five Malta churches joined together to host a three-day Vacation Bible School last week for the community children. About 70 children ages 5-12 attended the sessions which were full of Bible lessons, music, games, and snacks. Six Child Evangelism Fellowship teens and staff led the sessions and many families helped provide meals and housing to the team while they were here. A vehicle was set on fire at the depot, which had been stolen in Minnesota.
