Saturday by 12:30 p.m., the biscuits were ALL GONE and only a couple spoonful's of the gravy were left as evidence of another success meal hosted by the Senior Citizen Center. On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at approximately 2337 hours, Phillips County Sheriff's Office dispatch received a mutual aid request from Blaine County for a vehicle pursuit headed towards Phillips County on US 2. The request stated the suspect vehicle was traveling at speeds over 100 miles per hour. The occupants of the vehicle were suspected of transporting drugs. Just under 100 students from across the state gathered Saturday Jan. 20th, to compete in the Divisional Speech and Drama competition hosted at the Malta High School. At 8: 30 PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, a Malta Elementary School faculty member received an email with a vague message and a threat that a bomb had been placed in the school.
