Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking any information regarding a bull elk and whitetail buck that were shot, had their heads removed, and were left to waste in south Blaine County. Wardens received a report of the dead elk and deer, and after investigating, located them on private property about ¾ of a mile south of the junction of People’s Creek Road and Birdtail Road in south Blaine County, about 30 miles south of Chinook. Montana Stockgrowers Foundation (MSF) is accepting applications for its annual Education Heritage Scholarship Program. Scholarships will be awarded to three students in the amounts of one $5,000 scholarship and two $2,500 scholarships. Montana Red Cross is offering training in Lewistown on Dec. 9 and 10 for community members interested in helping their neighbors during local disasters and emergencies. The two-day event takes place from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Central Montana Church of Christ, 506 W. The Dodson FFA Chapter recently traveled to Bozeman for the annual Ag Expo sponsored by John Deere. The chapter competed in livestock judging, meats judging, and mechanics career development events. The chapter placed 36th out of 71 teams in livestock judging and 15th out of 34 teams in meats judging. To say the event on Friday evening had "standing room only" is accurate, considering the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum was designed for viewing, not sitting.
