After another week of warmer, then colder weather, making it melt and then turn to solid ice so it is hard to walk, it has again turned slightly colder and is threatening some snow again in the next few days. Last week I got to watch workers us a crane and truck put the house being worked on near the Phillips County Courthouse put back on its foundation. While I was watching, I noticed that they used metal ropes to help guide the house and there were metal bars beneath as well. The National Guard Armory being built in Malta had concrete poured inside the building this last week near the Phillips County Hospital is located as workers continue to work on that new building. More than 1,200 Montana hunters have spoken up in support of increasing public access to hunt elk on private and public lands during the late October and November general season in order to better manage our state’s elk herds.
