Nitrates are an issue to be aware of with our annual forage like hay barley and other small grain that we make into hay. Moisture has not been universal across the landscape and some crops and weeds may be stressed, accumulating nitrate. One early test of lambsquarter (see photo below) showed presence of nitrate. Several musical acts graced the Malta High School Auditorium stage last weekend for the 19th Annual Milk River Gospel Jamboree. The three-day event started on Friday, June 17, and concluded on Sunday, June 20. This year's event was the first MRGJ summer event held since 2019, before the pandemic. It’s not a plane, not a dinosaur…but a flying reptile! The museum added a model Pteranodon to the great room this year. Although Pteranodons didn’t inhabit this part of the continent, we think he fits in nicely between the Curry brothers’ photo and moose.
