The district has purchased a 1999 Blue Bird coach bus from Bouma Truck Sales in Great Falls for $63,500. Malta trustees gave their permission for the purchase at last week’s board meeting. Supt. Kris Kuehn said the district hopes to have enough money left in the general fund at the end of June when the fiscal year ends to fund the purchase. On Saturday, June 18, 2022, a benefit was held at the Lucky Bullet on behalf of Barb Bushman. Barb was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in March of this year. Triple negative breast cancer is a fast-growing cancer. So far, she has had chemotherapy twice and a treatment of Keytruda (an immune infusion, to help her body fight off infection/sickness). The Malta City Pool opened last week with a bit of a delay due to cold and rainy weather. But things got going on Thursday, June 9, with the first day of open swimming!
