As the cold weather has approached the city, the Malta Parks and Recreation department has come up with a few ways residents can thaw off this winter. The season ended for the Malta M-ettes as the team fell 0-3 to the Choteau Lady Dogs, who eventually took third place in the 2017 Northern B Divisional Volleyball Tournament in Malta. The three day event was held at the Malta Gymnasium from Thursday, November 2, through Saturday, November 4. The 2017 season ended abruptly for the North Country Mavericks as the team suffered back to back losses in the Eastern C Divisional Tournament held in Sidney on Thursday, November 2 through Saturday, November 4. The Indian Relay Racing scene has left quite the impression on many that attended the annual Phillips County Fair this past August, so much so that the Mint Bar hosted a Meet and Greet last Saturday, November 4, at 6 p.m. Present at the event was the Mountain River INDNRLY Team of Hays-Lodge Pole and the Moccasin Flats team also of Hays-Lodge Pole.
