    Parker Heinlein, Outdoors Columnist|Nov 3, 2021

My dog Ace is the middle child. Seldom the center of attention, Ace is quite comfortable blending into the background. Except when he barks. And he barks a lot. He barks in the morning when I let him out. He barks when I feed him. He barks at anyone or anything that walks past his yard in Malta. He barks when he’s riding in his kennel in the back of the truck and I turn onto a gravel road. He barks when we drive through town on the return from hunting. 1 years ago- Wednesday, November 2, 2011 Council takes on trails proposal The Malta City Council meeting started out sedately as the members worked their way through routine departmental reports and moved on to new business. The Council then moved on to the issue of the proposed Malta Trails route circumnavigating the City limits – which became a little acrimonious and lengthy – as proponents of the trail implied the City was apparently blocking the development by citing insurance and easement control concerns.
