Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge is no longer requiring blaze orange clothing when hunting upland gamebirds. As with the State regulations, it is strongly recommended that hunters wear at least an orange hat to reduce the chance of an accident. The first City Council meeting in September brought a few regular agenda items and reports from various departments. A public hearing of the alley between Ron Scott and Janet Berg was held. Dan Fewer, 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Great Falls. Dan was born in Hinsdale, Montana, on March 11, 1941, the 9th of 11 children to Charles and Elsie (Dannell) Fewer. In 1988, Dan retired from the US Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 28 years of service, and then retired from new careers in the US Civil Service and US Postal Service. The Phillips County Health Department, Phillips County Coalition of Healthy Choices, and Phillips County Hospital teamed up for the 2022 Phillips County Mental Health Awareness Walk on Sunday, September 11.
