    The Malta M-ettes had a strong Homecoming week picking up three wins, defeating North Country and Harlem in three sets and then finishing Wolf Point in five sets. The team saw inter-county action last Tuesday, September 12, in Malta as the North Country Mavericks took to the Malta High Gymnasium.     The Malta Mustangs brought their record to 2-1 after a strong showing against the Conrad Cowboys on a slippery and rainy Homecoming night at Mustang Field last Friday, September 15. The Mustangs defeated the Cowboys 44-14 thanks in part to a strong defensive effort and a stout run game. The team was up 37-0 by halftime.     The North Country Mavericks were able to clean up what started off as a rough week. The team lost in three sets to the Malta M-ettes last Tuesday, but then picked up two wins this weekend against the Lustre Christian Lions and Poplar Indians, making them 2-1 on the week.     On Thursday, September 7, 2017 Equity Co-op held their 101st annual meeting. Current Store manager Dale Kaasa presented the past manager Mark French with a Ruger American 17 HMR rifle. French served as the manager of Equity Co-op for 18 years and was at the meeting to give his last year report.
