    Malta VFW Post 4067 and the Auxiliary and the family of Mae Walsh extend an invitation to join them for a ritual honoring and recognizing her on Gold Star Mother’s Day, Sunday, September 30. The ceremony will be held at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta and begin at 6:45 p.m. The ritual is one designed by the VFW that will be a solemn event, honoring the last Gold Star Mother of Phillips County.     The Malta M-ettes Cross Country team participated at the Golden Eagle Cross Country Meet on Friday, September 14, in Lewistown, Mont. Malta placed eighth with 268 points out of the nine teams that fielded full teams for scoring. The meet was held at the Pine Meadows Golf Course. "This is a hilly course" the meet invitation stated.
