    Last Tuesday in district court, Gregory Walter Macijunas, of Kalispell, pleaded not guilty to two counts, one being felony endangerment after allegedly engaging in conduct that created substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury, namely against a Phillips County Sheriff’s deputy.     At last week’s Malta City Council meeting, the painting of crosswalks at Malta Elementary and the possibility of lowering the speed limit, or perhaps inserting speed bumps, near the Cedar View Apartments was discussed. Crosswalk lines were painted by the Malta Publics Works team near Malta Elementary School earlier this month and then repainted by another group on the behest of the school’s staff.     Despite being a smoke filled weekend, 88 golfers from in and out of state showed up for the 2015 Marian Hills Open, held last weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Those golfers formed 22 teams that played in Montana's largest scramble payout to date. Teams had two chances to win their share of a grand prize of $5,000.
