The attendance at this year's Phillips County Fair in Dodson reached exactly 4,000 this year, up from 2016's total of 3,634 total fairgoers and nearly equaling the 100th Annual event held two years ago when the Centennial fair reached a total of 4,020 total attendees. The Malta Swim Team participated in the Montana Federation of Swimmers State Meet on Saturday, August 5 through Sunday, August 6 at the new pool in Lewistown. The team brought 17 swimmers and two of those swimmers medaled that weekend. Eight-year-old Jahmiah Huffman LaBrie won the 25 meter backstroke with a time of 21.80, his fastest time of the season.
