    Almost one year ago, Brian Dean Bell was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and criminal endangerment, both felonies, and initially pleaded not guilty to both charges. In April of this year, Bell changed his pleas pursuant to a written plea bargain agreement, according to court records.     Kameron Lee Oliver, a 15-year-old Loring resident, died last Thursday morning after losing control of his vehicle on Loring Road near Turner, according to a the Montana Highway Patrol information report. Oliver was west bound on Loring road and lost control of the 1998 Chevy Suburban he was driving on the gravel and began to roll.     The group Chicago, best known for their 1970's Jazz-Rock music, is one of my favorite bands. Their song, A Hard Habit to Break, however, is not one of my favorite tunes. My dislike of said tune is mostly due to it being mawkish -- and the lack of the band's epic Jazz vibrations in the ballad doesn't help -- but today as I type, I really don't like the song because it so aptly applies to my battle with tobacco.     LORING-Kameron Lee Martin 15, a grandson, a nephew, and a loving cousin, passed away June 18th north of Loring in a vehicle accident.     On a beautiful day on the Hi-Line (which he loved so much) Donald Strang saddled up and rode into his eternal green pasture. After a short bout of cancer his passing was very peaceful at Francis Mahon Hospital in Glasgow, where he got wonderful care from a caring staff, with family and friends by his side.     Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks biologists have completed their 2015 winter and spring aerial surveys of deer populations across Region 6 in northeastern Montana. The surveys indicate a continuing increase in numbers for mule deer, and mostly unchanging populations of whitetail deer across the region.     The second of six weekends of races are in the books for Phillips County Motorsports. The racing weekend featured races from all over Montana and many from Canada.     The Malta Swim Team is off to a great start this season after the team ended the third meet of their season. The Malta swimmers took ninth place at the Glasgow meet, which is impressive considering the team only had 15 at the meet. There were 269 swimmers present amongst 10 teams.
