    Though the Malta M-ettes have been dominating meets all year, the team met its match against the Glasgow Lady Scotties last Saturday at the District 2B Track Meet in Wolf Point. Malta took second place after scoring 156 points at the meet. Glasgow was first with 198 and Wolf Point took third, though the Lady Wolves also had 156 points.     The Whitewater Penguin girls track team has had a strong campaign this season. That continued last Thursday at the District 3C meet in Glasgow as the team took second place with 97 points. All eight athletes qualified for the next level, the Eastern C Divisionals in Glasgow tomorrow.     Lady Panther Bailey Funk had a big day at the District 3C meet in Glasgow last week. The freshman qualified for the Eastern Divisional meet in Glasgow tomorrow in four events including winning the triple jump with a length of 28 feet, six inches. "I don't know how I did it, I only did two jumps," Funk said. "The other was a 29-02, definitely not my best."     On Sunday, May 3, 2015 over 4,200 people competed in the 39th running of the The Lilac Bloomsday Run, a 12K (7.46 mile) race held in Spokane, Washington.     Philips County Motor Sports Inc. announced the 2015 $500 scholarship recipients as Terence Snell, Malta, John Chinadle, Havre MT, Johnathan Lee, Scobey MT and Layne Gorder, Poplar MT.
