Longtime supporters of the Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports, the Malta American Legion Post No. 57 and the Sons of the American Legion donated a combined total of $3,000 to the local youth program. These donations will be used to purchase supplies as well as make equipment updates. The PC 4-H Shooting Sports program currently has 57 youth participating in the air pistol, air rifle and archery disciplines. Forty-eight 4-H members participated in the 4-H Livestock and forty-two members participating in the Miscellaneous Judging on October 18th at the Milk River Pavilion in Malta. The purpose of the event was to provide youth with the opportunity to develop skills in critical thinking, decision making, and the ability to verbalize reasonings to a judge.
