Over the last couple of weekends, the four high schools in Phillips County including Malta, Whitewater, Dodson, and Saco, held graduation ceremonies. For the past six months, members of Little White Church (LWC) in Malta and Saco Methodist Church (SMC) have been led by a new pastor for the first time in 28 years. On November 20, 2021, LWC and SMC welcomed Pastor Steve Anderson, his wife of 15 years Leslie Anderson, and their 14-year-old son Ehren, from Bergholz, Ohio. It has been a weird spring. They call Chicago the Windy City, but I grew up in Chicago and had never experienced wind like the winds that we had earlier this month. Continued wind gusts over 75 miles per hour in our part of the Hi-Line was a crazy experience.
