  • This American-Made hammer brings me back!

    Pierre Bibbs, Play Ball|Jul 27, 2022

Though I have had the same hammer since I was 13 years ago, I am far from a handyman. I do have to say that I have had a streak of fixing things around the house. One wouldn’t think that putting together a kitchen table is hard to do, but I definitely can complicate a simple task. I did get it set up! After I found my rhythm, I was also able to assemble the six chairs that came with it. One month later. As I was putting together the furniture, I wondered what my sons were thinking. I am g...

  • Why can't I just take the win?

    Pierre Bibbs, Play Ball|Jul 20, 2022

I know that I am about to jinx it. I know that I should probably just take the win and be quiet about it, but I can’t help myself. I have lived here a while now and I must say that this has been the most pleasant year for a certain pest that I won’t name. Year after year, I have gone outside to set up my sprinklers only to be mobbed by biters. I would swat and stomp every step as I set up irrigation. We wouldn’t have picnics outside due to these buzzing creatures, and a walk around the neigh...

  • I am finally able to put my feet up after work!

    Pierre Bibbs, Play Ball|Jul 13, 2022

So, we did a thing the other day…. I’m not talking about marriage. I am talking about something that has been in my life just as long as I have been married. My old couch set. The other day, Susan and I replaced our old couch/love seat set. Honestly, it took me a long time to like that couch. It was not comfortable at first. It did not recline, so the naps were often painful, and sitting on it too long encouraged me to get up and take a lap around the house. I disliked that couch for years, but...

  • I have been in Montana for a decade!

    Pierre Bibbs, Publisher|Jul 6, 2022

Wednesday, June 21, marked ten years since I moved to the great state of Montana. That same day marked a day that I felt like a real Montanan. On that day, I was tasked with driving to Miles City to pick up our newspaper from the Miles City Star. They have been printing out papers since the press went down at the Havre Daily News. To me, a native Chicagoite, an eight hour round trip drive takes forever! Somewhere along that trip to Miles City, I met road construction and decided to take a...
