On Thursday, May 12, Whitewater Elementary students enjoyed their visits to the Wildlife Museum and the Blaine County Museum in Chinook. Students and chaperones viewed many spectacular exhibits displaying Montana's native animals as well as interesting historical ones. On March 17-18, in Helena, Montana, Kora LaBrie, a Whitewater fifth grader, was recognized as one of two Overall winners in the Agriculture in Montana Schools (AMS) drawing contest. As guests of AMS, Kora, her family, her grandparents and teacher spent two days touring St. Helena Cathedral, the State Wildlife Center, the Carousel, the Montana Historical Society Museum, and the Capitol Building. Elementary students from Whitewater School recently recognized their 100th Day of School with a celebration. Everyone costumed up as 100- year-old people. Out of five jars of candy, students were to pick which jar held exactly one hundred pieces. Three students were correct and received prizes. In the afternoon, students hunted for 100 Hershey Kisses in the gym and found all but two; who knows if a hungry student gobbled those!
