As the warmer weather gets closer and we are able to do things outdoors again, there are a few things that I have missed due to the pandemic that I am hoping to be able to enjoy again. First and foremost is concerts! I have always enjoyed going to live music shows and have been lucky enough to go to many of them over the years. Mostly rock and metal concerts, but I have gone to a handful of country shows as well. I’ve seen most of my favorite bands, Kiss, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Tesla, but there are a few I would still like to see whi...

Why have the ratings of award shows dropped so much in the last few years? I can remember watching the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, and all of the music awards with my parents as a kid. We would watch them because they had great hosts and were very entertaining. Take the Oscars for example. When I started watching, Johnny Carson was a regular as the host. He was funny and nobody was safe from anything he would do or say. The next host I really remember on a regular basis was Billy Crystal. The beginning of the show when he was hosting, was a...

I recently read an article that the Illinois legislature is trying to pass a bill prohibiting the sale of the video game Grand Theft Auto (GTA), saying that it was a direct cause of the escalation of carjacking incidents happening in and around the Chicago area. The article stated that the offenders are getting younger and that this game is making it seem ok to do this. It reminded me of the attack on hard rock and heavy metal music that happened when I was growing up. It was assumed that listening to those kinds of music led to devil...
