    Both members of the Malta Speech and Drama team qualified for the State Meet held at Huntley Project High School on January 28-29. While neither of the girls made it to the finals, Head Coach Anna LaBrie said, “I am very proud of both girls.     The Malta Mustangs went into the 2022 Eastern B-C Divisionals in Colstrip on February 4-5, with the hopes of getting at least half of their eight wrestlers to the state meet.     The Malta City Council was presented with Daniel Dahl’s proposal that the City of Malta purchases his +/- 6221 square foot lot located by the Trafton Park Arena for $3,000 by Mayor Demarais during the last council meeting on Tuesday, January 25.     The Malta Speech and Drama Team is preparing for the Class B/C Divisional Meet in Choteau on Saturday, January 22. The team last competed on January 8, at the Shelby Invitational.   • School Board Hears Updates After Break, Approves Two New Lifts

    During the last School Board meeting, the board approved the purchase of two new lifts for the Malta High School. The old lifts that the school has now are beyond repair. There are no parts available. Because these lifts are used for cleaning purposes high up in the gym and auditorium, ESSER or Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund money can be used.
