On December 14th the halls of Malta High School were either buzzing with energy or as quiet as mice on the lookout for Santa. The energy bursting forth in corridors was the action between the changing of the sessions of the speech and drama meet as nearly 65 students met up with teammates and new friends as they swapped how things had gone in the judging. Well, it was a guaranteed winner! Where else could little wee ones find a delicate pancake breakfast feast like the one provided at the GN Lodge Room on Saturday, Dec. 14th? Dodson rancher Lesley Robinson was elected as President of the Montana Stockgrowers at the MSGA Annual Convention and Trade Show held in Billings, MT. on December 4-6th. She is the first female to be elected to this position. Robinson will serve in this capacity for two years. Robinson is married to Jim Robinson, and they have one daughter, Kirsty Dee Robinson Stewart. Robinsons have owned and operated the Lazy JD Cattle Co., in southern Phillips County since 1985. November 23, 2024 is a date that Mervin Bishop will not soon forget. The Hi-Line Future Foundation Organization (HLFF) is working toward their goal of getting the Malta swimming pool up and running, and have taken on the project in several phases. The phase 1 will be using current funds to get things done by the regular opening date. These funds are the result of a pool party campaign, the toilet fundraiser funds.
