Four daughters of Elmer Henry’s former Sergeant in the Marine Corps during the second World War visited at Dora Henry’s this week. Very enjoyable and filled with memories and laughter. Dora Henry attended a Council on Aging meeting in Malta on Wednesday. The Dodson Lutheran ladies sent goodies and refreshments to the blood drawing on Thursday. Polly Solberg spent the Labor Day weekend in Ismay with son Nathan and family. Libby’s girls, Kiana from Sioux Falls, S.D., Katie from Chicago, Ill., and Chanelle and Kyle and family from Townsend, Mont., were all home to help celebrate Libby’s dad, Bill Almy, celebrate his 90th birthday. Dora Henry reports a new great grandson born Sunday ,August 7 in Great Falls to Jim and Sarah Lautenschlager. He joins two sisters, Delaney and Harper in the family home. Dora accompanied her daughter Teresa of Belgrade and great grandson Roper James Leys of Choteau to Choteau for a few days and helped Roper celebrate his first birthday. Polly Solberg went to Havre on Tuesday to meet her nephew and wife, William and Karen Scheafer of Titusville, Florida. They all went on to Fairfield to visit Polly’s brother Bert and Kathy Windells and Jason and Julie and family. Tim, Heidi, Tylor and Amanda came from Billings to visit everyone. When I was halfway to Malta on Saturday, I saw the biggest-Fattest snake crossing the road. Had to be a bull snake or rattler, too much on-coming traffic to back up and see, but he was big. We had the worst storm on Saturday evening about 6:00 pm. Fierce wind and heavy rain, had to be close to 100 mile an hour winds. Trees around town were broken down, a corner of the grandstand roof at the fairgrounds lifted. To look outside it looked like the pictures you see of typhoons in the tropics. Good...

Nominated by her kids, Terri Cole won the runner-up Cloak and Tiara award at the Women’s Run in Billings. Terri won second in her age group at the event in Billings on two Saturday’s ago. Polly Solberg attended church at the Elim Lutheran Church in Malta for family member Blake Chamber's confirmation on Sunday. The school has been busy fixing and fencing a new parking lot----should take some of the congestion off the street. Several new double-wide modulars are coming in to Dodson. A large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral for Alice Dolphay at the Dodson School on Friday. The Catholic Ladies and the Lutheran Ladies served a reception after the service in the School Cafeteria. Thanks to everyone who helped. It stayed nice the whole day. Saturday it turned cooler and on Sunday it started raining and snowing. It is supposed to remain chilly and rainy at least until Thursday. The moisture is badly needed.
