    We have been experiencing smaller snow showers and cold for quite a while. Wednesday morning started out clear and looking like a good day, just before noon it started to snow hard from the east with a good wind behind it. In a short time, it was a whiteout and hard to see. It looked like it was going to stay but by 2 p.m. it quit and was actually a good day except hard to see in the all-white. It continues to be in the single digits below at night and only in the 20s and 30s during the day....

    It snowed and turned cold again on Tuesday evening, altho all around us got more snow than we did. Thank heaven for that. Almost all roads across the state were reporting snow pack and ice. Hope it all clears up before Thanksgiving. It was reported former resident Mitzi Munsinger had had bad breathing problems while visiting her mother in Great Falls, but after treatment was doing better.     The school served a very good dinner for the community on November 14 from 11:00 to 1:00. It was all very delicious and teachers, students from certain classes and other older students helped and served the senior citizens and other grown-ups who attended. There was entertainment from the students who sang for the company. Dinner consisted of potatoes and gravy, turkey, green bean casserole, salad, sweet potatoes, and rolls.     It snowed a wet snow on Tuesday afternoon, giving the ground a good cover and about one-inch precipitation. Very cold Wednesday and it stayed this way all week.     Turned very cold and of course the wind blew making it seem colder all week. Daylight savings time ended Sunday, clocks were set back one hour. Snowed a wet snow with big flakes starting about noon on Wednesday. Was all melted by Thursday leaving it just muddy and wet for trick or treaters on Halloween.     Cold temperatures pushed by winds were present in our community again for most of the week and the weekend. Other places like Billings received several inches of new snow, Helena and places west received inches of new snow and were again cold. Brrrr……...     We have had more snow, wind and low temperatures all week. Winter seems to have moved its agenda up earlier. Our snow was very wet, mixed with rain so we did not have much cover on the ground.     Condolences are sent to the family of Doreen Dale in her passing. She was known and liked by many.     Friday heralded the first winter storm for this fall and it proved to be a quite severe one. Dodson received lots of wind and rain and wet snow mixed into the rain but other places in the state were hit hard and had accumulations of snow.     There were quite a few people who attended the graveside services for Merle Kaasa on Tuesday afternoon. It was a very touching service and lunch was served by the Lutheran and Catholic ladies at the Lutheran Church following the service. Sympathy to all the family and friends.     Dora Henry and Barb Tremblay were in Havre to have her eyes checked on Friday. They enjoyed lunch with Bill and Marilyn Henry while there.     A large gathering of relatives and friends came together for the placing of the ashes of Kimberly Solberg Adkins at a graveside service on Sunday afternoon at the Dodson Cemetery.
