    Rain was the word of the week around here! Loring had between 4 or 6 inches depending on where the gauge was located! Snow also made an appearance for a couple of days! Seems too early for me!     The Loring Woman's club Dance will go in the history books as the first one that the electricity went out for four hours and we kept the party rockin'! A huge storm blew through about 8:30, lots of lightning and thunder, wind, hail and rain! Close to 9 the power went out!     My sunflowers have started opening! It is so fun to see the different colors and designs in the combination pack that Tom planted!     Our prayers and sympathy are with the folks of Orlando, Fla., after the horrendous shooting that happened there last week.     Whitewater High School Graduation Friends and relatives flooded into the WHS gymnasium from all over the United States to celebrate with the graduating class of six.     You have never seen orange until you have seen an oriole fly into your trees! There is nothing like the orange with the black setting it off! I put my grape jelly feeders out right away!     Summer hit this week! Our temps were in the high 80's for a couple of days!     Oh my, spring is definitely here in north Phillips County, especially after that awesome rain on Friday! Most of the reports are over an inch of moisture! I spotted three bluebirds on Sunday!     Sorry that I missed last week, but I had lots of friends and relatives distracting me. Many were here to bid my mother farewell! A celebration of Barbara Cowan' s life was held at the family farm last Sunday. David Stordahl smoked pork butt and ribs, for the celebration.
