County Superintendent of Schools Vivian Taylor administered the oath of office. Skiff was the runner up in the recent school election for another position on the board and indicated his willingness to serve when the vacancy occurred. Avery Sorenson was hired to fill a vacancy in the management of the publicly owned clothing store by its board of directors. She and her husband, Leif moved to Malta in June from Glendive so he could accept a position as a new lineman with Big Flat Electric Cooperative.
