    The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports program had nine youth participate in 21 events in the State 4-H Shoot in Bozeman March 7 and 8. There were 400 youth from around the state competing. In the air rifle (three positions – prone, standing, kneeling) precision (coaches may not help during competition) receiving a 2nd place medal was Vinnessa Lundstrom.     The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports held their annual pizza and awards ceremony on May 3rd at Stretch’s Banquet Room. There were 73 youth that participated in the program this year for a total of 95 disciplines. The youth shot for 8 weeks on the county level in archery, air rifle and air pistol disciplines. There were 32 youth that participated in the 3P (prone, standing and kneeling) air rifle.   • Phillips County 4-H Carnival not slowed by rain

    A little rain may stop some folks from having fun on a Saturday, but not these youngsters. May youth enjoyed the carnival put on by the Phillips County 4-H clubs, Big Sky Builders, Cross Country, Malta Steak, Milk River Beef Builders, Rocky Road and Rough Riders. With four hours of games from a fishing pond, cake walk, basketball throw, ball climb and many others youth carried away prizes of candy, stickers and toys.
